When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Sebago
No person shall engage in any activity requiring a permit without first obtaining CEO or Planning Board approval. Written application required.
- Exempt Ordinary maintenance not involving structural change
- Exempt Painting and similar finish work
Note: Refer to MUBEC Section 105.2 and Sebago local ordinances.

Application process
Application → plan check → issuance → inspection → final
- 01 Contact Code Enforcement at (207) 787-2457 or use the Land Use Guidance and Information form on the town website to determine required permits.
- 02 Download appropriate permit application from townofsebago.org/code-enforcement-planning/pages/permit-applications.
- 03 Complete application in writing on forms provided by the CEO.
- 04 Submit application and pay fee to Town of Sebago per Selectmen-established fee schedule.
- 05 CEO reviews application.
- 06 Permit issued upon approval; post at job site.
- 07 Schedule inspections.
- 08 Final inspection and close-out.
