Permit triggers and exempt work for Plymouth

Application process
Application → plan check → issuance → inspection → final
- 01 Download Residential Building Permit Application from plymouthnh.gov documents page.
- 02 Prepare a site plan (to scale) showing dimensions of the lot and all setbacks (front, side, rear). A building permit will not be issued without this site plan.
- 03 Complete application with required documentation.
- 04 Submit application with fee to Inspectional Services at 42 Highland Street.
- 05 Plymouth Fire-Rescue performs plan review for building permits.
- 06 Permit issued. Post permit on site.
- 07 Plymouth Fire-Rescue performs site inspections and pre-planning for new construction and renovations.
- 08 Schedule required inspections at appropriate stages.
- 09 Final inspection and closeout.
