Permit triggers and exempt work for Hanover

Application process

- 01 Review the Town of Hanover Rate and Fee Schedule for applicable fees.
- 02 Register or log in to the iWorQ portal (hanover.portal.iworq.net/HANOVER/permits/600).
- 03 Submit building permit application online with required plans. For one- and two-family residential: include electrical plans (lights, switches, receptacles, service/feeder circuits) and plumbing plans in addition to building plans.
- 04 For commercial/multi-family: additional plans and documentation required.
- 05 Planning, Zoning and Codes staff reviews application.
- 06 Permit issued. Begin construction only after permit is in hand.
- 07 Schedule required inspections through the online portal or by phone.
- 08 Final inspection and closeout.
