When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Brookfield

Application process

- 03 Complete the application and prepare any required supporting materials.
- 04 Submit the application to the Administrative Officer at the Town Office (Tuesday-Thursday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM) or by mail. Fees collected by the Administrative Officer.
- 05 The Administrative Officer reviews for conformance with the Brookfield Zoning Code.
- 06 Upon approval, permit is issued. Post on property before commencing work.
- 07 Schedule required inspections with the Administrative Officer.
- 08 For commercial/public buildings, also obtain a DFS state construction permit.
