When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for La Habra Heights
The city's Building Division reviews plans and issues permits, and the FAQ confirms permits are required for items including patio covers, window replacement, water-heater replacement, air-conditioning condenser replacement/new installation, reroofing, and footings for future patio covers. New structures and additions also require Planning approval before permit issuance.
- Exempt Painting
- Exempt Wallpapering

- Exempt One-story detached accessory structures used as tool or storage sheds, playhouses, and similar uses when floor area does not exceed 120 square feet
