Permit triggers and exempt work for Reynoldsburg
All new building construction and alterations, additions, enlargements, use and occupancy changes, equipment or component replacements, relocations, and demolitions under the Residential Code of Ohio or Ohio Building Code.

- 03 For residential projects: email permit application and construction drawings to BuildingDeptSubmissions@reynoldsburg.gov with a $100 non-refundable deposit (in person or by mail)
- 04 Building Division reviews plans (commercial: minimum 30 days; residential: approximately 14 business days)
- 05 Pay any remaining permit fees
- 06 Permit is issued
- 07 Schedule inspections: call automated inspection line (614) 322-6821 by 3:00 PM for next-business-day inspection; or email completed Inspection Request Form to InspectionRequest@reynoldsburg.gov
- 08 Plumbing inspections only: contact Franklin County Public Health directly at (614) 525-3635
- 09 Complete all required inspections before covering work
- 10 Obtain Certificate of Occupancy where required
