- 02 Download the Building/Demolition Permit application from the town website.
- 03 Complete the application: owner/location info, project description, residential vs. commercial use, number of stories, estimated project cost, anticipated construction dates, site plan sketch with setbacks, wells, septic systems, and driveways.
- 04 Determine whether the project is within shoreland zone (75 feet from any stream) or floodplain; additional review applies.
- 05 If plumbing is involved, a separate plumbing permit must be obtained from the LPI concurrently.
- 06 Submit the completed application and required documents to the town office.
- 07 CEO reviews and issues permit; fees are assessed and must be paid.
- 08 Post permit on job site. No work may begin before permit is issued.
- 09 Schedule required inspections with the CEO or Town Manager.
