When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Bicknell
Any construction, addition, alteration, repair, demolition, relocation, or change of occupancy of a building or structure within Bicknell requires a building permit. The Town's Building Regulations Ordinance (No. 10-6-2016) governs permit requirements.

- 02 Review the Town's Building Regulations Ordinance (Ordinance No. 10-6-2016), available at https://www.bicknellutah.com/ordinances.html.
- 03 Prepare required construction documents: site plan and construction drawings appropriate to project scope.
- 04 Complete the building permit application.
- 05 If owner-building, prepare the notarized DOPL Owner/Builder Certification Agreement.
- 06 Submit completed application and supporting documents to the town office in person.
- 07 Await review and approval. Pay applicable permit fee.
- 08 Receive issued permit. Post permit card on site; keep approved plans on site throughout construction.
- 09 Schedule and pass all required inspections.
- 10 Obtain final inspection approval and Certificate of Occupancy before occupying any new or substantially altered structure.
