Application process

- 01 Download the Building Notification (Permit) form from the permits/licenses page.
- 02 Complete the form: owner info, tax map/lot, structure type, dimensions, number of bedrooms/bathrooms, heating type, septic status, and driveway permit status.
- 03 Note that this is a notification form, not a full approval process. Pittsburg's Building Notification states that the owner is responsible for meeting all applicable state requirements -- septic, wells, setbacks, shoreline rules, subdivision rules, wiring, plumbing, and fire code.
- 04 If a new driveway connects to a town road: obtain a town driveway permit. If connecting to a state road: obtain an NH DOT permit.
- 05 Submit the completed notification form to the Town Office at no cost.
- 06 All state building code requirements (RSA 155-A / IRC 2021 with NH amendments) apply regardless of the notification character of the local process.
