When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Islesboro
Any new structure exceeding 120 square feet ("anything built for the support, shelter, or enclosure of persons, animals, goods or property of any kind" with a fixed location). Timber harvesting within 200 ft of normal high water. Fences within 75 ft of normal high water or within 50 ft of road centerline. Shoreland zone permits required for activity near water bodies.
