When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Farmington
A building permit is required for all construction within the Town of Farmington.
Note: Specific exemptions are not publicly listed. General Maine practice for MUBEC-enforcing municipalities: minor repairs and routine maintenance that do not affect structural, electrical, mechanical, or plumbing systems may not require a permit. Contact the CEO to confirm whether a specific project triggers a permit requirement.
