  3. Include 2 copies of a sketch plan for permitted-use applications.
  4. Include applicable fee per the town's posted fee schedule.
  5. Submit application with fee to the ZA in person or as directed.
  6. ZA acts within 30 days; permit deemed issued on day 31 if no action.
  7. Post permit for the 15-day appeal period before beginning work.
  8. Permit is valid for 2 years; one-time 12-month renewal available without fee if substantial progress was made.
  9. Upon project completion, submit Certificate of Occupancy application. Include signed RBES certificate. ZA inspects within 7 days and issues or denies Certificate of Occupancy.

Typical processing time: Up to 30 days per state law; permit deemed issued on day 31 if no action.
