When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Stallings
Stallings says anyone planning a construction project in town must obtain a zoning permit. This includes new construction, additions, upfits, accessory structures, signs, demolition, and other listed activities.
Note: Stallings does not publish a consolidated exemption handout on reviewed permit pages. Because the town says anyone planning a construction project must obtain a zoning permit, applicants should confirm even minor work before treating it as exempt. For county building-permit work, county/state exemptions remain limited to specific like-for-like replacements and minor alterations.
