Permit triggers and exempt work for Teaneck

- New Jersey Uniform Construction Code (NJAC 5:23), based on IBC with NJ amendments

- 12 months from last inspection (NJ UCC standard)
- Owner-builder
- Owner/occupied single family homeowners may perform work on their own house. All others (rental properties, commercial, two-family) must use licensed contractors.
- Contractor requirements

Zoning Permit: $150 (one- and two-family dwellings). Swimming Pools: Above-ground $175; In-ground $400. Sheds: $300 each. Demolition: $400 (R-3/R-5); $1,000 (other use groups). State Training Surcharge: Additional per NJAC 5:23-4.19
