When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Twisp
A permit is required for all construction, enlargement, alteration, repair, demolition, and system installation.
Note: Exempt work follows Washington State Building Code Section 105 exemptions. Contact the Town Planner to confirm requirements for any specific project.

- 03 Identify applicable overlays: critical areas, floodplain, shoreline, Lincoln Street Overlay.
- 04 Schedule pre-application meeting with the Town Planner (509-997-4081). This is strongly recommended.
- 05 Submit permit application with required documents.
- 06 Pay required fees.
- 07 Staff reviews; SEPA review if required.
- 08 Permit issued upon approval.
- 09 Schedule inspections with Okanogan County Building Inspector.
