When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Kanab
Any work listed in Kanab City General Ordinance Section 10-600; includes new construction, additions, remodels, structural alterations, accessory structures, pools, and other regulated work.
Detached accessory structures (including sheds and playhouses) not used for human occupancy or storage of hazardous materials, up to 200 square feet floor area
Fences not over 7 feet high
Retaining walls not over 4 feet high measured from bottom of footing to top of wall and not supporting a surcharge or impounding Class I, II, or III-A liquids
One-story detached accessory structures used as tool and storage sheds, playhouses, and similar uses with a projected roof area not exceeding 120 square feet
Painting, papering, tiling, carpeting, cabinets, counter tops, and similar finish work
Temporary motion picture, TV, and theater stage sets and scenery
Window awnings supported by an exterior wall that do not project more than 54 inches from the exterior wall and do not require additional support
Prefabricated swimming pools accessory to a single-family dwelling, above-grade, if the pool volume is not greater than 5,000 gallons and is less than 24 inches deep
