When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Nanticoke
The city publishes separate building, zoning or sign, occupancy, landlord, and contractor-license forms; building permits are obtained through Code Enforcement for new buildings, additions, alterations, demolition, relocations, changes of use, and trade work
Note: Nanticoke does not post a city-specific exemption list on the reviewed permit pages. Pennsylvania UCC exemptions therefore provide the published baseline, including small fences, low retaining walls without surcharge, shallow prefabricated pools, low uncovered decks, communications wiring, and ordinary repairs that do not affect structural members, egress, or relocated systems.
