When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Hanover Township
Township states compliance is required for new construction and for existing buildings undergoing expansion, repair, or renovation, and residents should contact the office before any construction or alteration project
Note: Hanover Township does not post a dedicated local exemption list on the reviewed pages. Pennsylvania UCC exemptions therefore provide the public baseline, including small fences, low retaining walls without surcharge, shallow prefabricated pools, low uncovered decks, communications wiring, and ordinary repairs that do not affect structure, egress, or relocated systems.
- Form-specific applications for building, electric, plumbing, HVAC, zoning, occupancy, and contractor licensing
- Building code

- Owner-builder
- Thin data; public forms page does not post a separate owner-builder policy
- Contractor requirements
- Township publishes contractor license and license-renewal materials; fee schedule shows general, jobbing, specialty, and master renewals plus separate plumber and electrician licensing
