When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Upper Darby

Application process
Application → plan check → issuance → inspection → final
- 01 Download the permit application for building, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, roofing, or fire protection work.
- 02 Complete forms and assemble all required supporting materials for the specific permit type.
- 03 Submit the application by email to LI@upperdarby.org or by mail/in person to 100 Garrett Road, Room 109.
- 04 Pay fees by check, money order, or online through L and I Code Pay.
- 05 Wait for permit issuance before starting work and complete any required inspections.
