Permit triggers and exempt work for Coweta

- 01 Determine permit type from the city's permit list, which includes building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, roofing, change of use, detached buildings, remodels, road bore permits, and miscellaneous permits.
- 02 Submit the building permit package to the City of Coweta. For residential buildings: two 11 x 17 plan sets and one PDF set. For commercial buildings: two 24 x 36 plan sets and one PDF set.
- 03 Confirm contractor and trade registrations are current. The city states no building permits will be created if contractor or trades are out of date.
- 04 Complete plan review and pay all fees. The city states no building permits will be issued without payment.
- 05 After permit issuance, call inspections into the 24-hour inspection hotline by 4 p.m. for next-day inspection.
- 06 Complete final approvals and certificate of occupancy or change-of-use clearance as applicable.
