When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Seville
Village zoning certificate application covers new construction, business, deck, fence, industrial, remodeling, accessory building, residence, sign board, agriculture building, swimming pools, satellite dish, and other listed uses. Separate county building permits are required for building-code regulated work.
Note: No broad Seville public exemption list was located on the village zoning page.
- Village forms request owner and builder information, property location, proposed use, flood hazard information, acreage or square footage, and supporting plans
- Conditional zoning applications require additional documentation referenced in the zoning code
- Building code
- Seville zoning is governed by the village zoning ordinance code book and related village legislation. Building-code permits are administered by Medina County under Ohio building and residential codes.
- Permit validity
- Seville zoning certificate becomes void one year after issuance unless construction is started and completed within 18 months. If construction is not started or use changed within one year, a new permit is required.
- Contractor requirements
- No local Seville contractor registration program on public zoning pages. County materials state Medina County no longer registers contractors, but HVAC and electrical contractors must provide state licenses when applying.
