Permit triggers and exempt work for Waverly
Building permits are required for any new structure, pools, covered patios and carports, decks more than 16 inches above grade, additions, major repairs, use-changing alterations, major renovation affecting structural walls/plumbing/wiring, repairs to condemned or violating houses, larger or new windows/doors, foundations, chimneys and fireplaces, multiple dwellings, demolition, replacement of components when changing size or location, all fences, floodplain construction including fill, signs, and all roof replacement including shingles. Permits are required for Uniform Code or Energy Code work, subject to listed exemptions.
