Application Process

  1. Complete the Village of Corrales Application for Construction Permit.
  2. Obtain zoning approval signature on the application from Village Planning and Zoning.
  3. Prepare two complete sets of construction plans drawn at minimum 1/4" = 1 ft on at least 8.5 x 11 paper. An electronic version of all submitted plans is also required.
  4. If project is in a flood zone, obtain an Elevation Certificate from a licensed surveyor.
  5. Obtain Liquid Waste Disposal Permit from NM Environment Department if applicable.
  6. Email completed application and plans in PDF format to bgresham@corrales-nm.org, or submit in person at 4324 Corrales Road.
  7. Village reviews application and issues building permit with assigned permit number.
  8. Pay permit fees as assessed.
  9. Post permit at job site.
  10. Call Building Inspector (505-897-0502 ext. 222 or LBrammeier@corrales-nm.org) to schedule required inspections. For MEP inspections, coordinate with the relevant licensed sub-contractor through Rio Rancho.
  11. Final inspection and Certificate of Occupancy issued by Village.
