Permit triggers and exempt work for Chichester
New construction of any structure with over 200 square feet floor space, additions/repairs/renovations involving structural changes, relocation/modification/replacement of electrical, plumbing, gas piping, or HVAC systems, swimming pools, complete residing, replacement of all windows, demolition of a structure.

- Exempt Ordinary maintenance not involving structural or system changes.
- Exempt Contact Building Inspector to confirm exemptions.
- Completed building permit application
- building plans of structure or addition
- NH PUC Energy Code Compliance Certificate (Form EC-1)
- plot plan showing structure location on lot with setbacks
- NH DES-approved septic design plan
- driveway permit from Town Road Agent (if applicable).
- Building code

- 08 Final inspection; Certificate of Occupancy issued.
