  2. Obtain building permit application form from the Code Enforcement office or town website.
  3. Complete application; construction cost/value must be disclosed (includes site work, septic, foundation, materials, and labor; labor valued equal to materials when applicant performs own labor).
  4. Submit application and pay permit fee (permit required for any project costing or having a value of more than $500).
  5. Permit issued; post at job site.
  6. CEO inspects sites to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and ordinances.
  7. Schedule required inspections during construction; CEO keeps all activities under surveillance.

Additional permits may be required from Planning Board for site plan review.
