- Permits are valid for 1 year from date of issuance.
- Contractor requirements
- Contractor must provide proof of insurance. IDFPR licenses required for electricians and plumbers. No statewide general contractor license. Confirm any local requirements with the clerk.

- 01 For village-issued permits (fences, chicken coops, window replacements): submit a permit application to the Village Clerk including intent statement, plans, contractor information with proof of insurance, and project timeline.
- 02 Pay applicable fees.
- 03 Permit is valid for 1 year from issuance.
- 04 Inspections must be arranged and conducted before, during, and after project completion. Inspection timing is determined before the permit is issued.
- 05 NOTE: If work begins without a permit, B&F Construction Code Services will issue a Stop Work Order.
