When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Belleview
Permits are generally required for construction, enlargement, alteration, moving, demolition, occupancy changes, and regulated electrical, gas, mechanical, and plumbing work.

- 02 Submit a complete permit packet in person or by email using the city's permit checklists and forms.
- 03 Pay the invoice at submittal; if filing by email, city staff sends an invoice and online payment link within 1 to 2 business days.
- 04 The city states staff will contact the applicant within 3 full working days if the application is incomplete.
- 05 Once review is complete and the permit is issued, the city notifies the contractor or owner-builder.
- 06 Schedule inspections by phone and obtain final approval or certificate of occupancy.
