When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Sedona
The City of Sedona administers its own building permit system under City Code chapter 15.05. Permits are required for various residential and commercial projects.

- 2018 I-Codes (2018 IBC, IRC, IPC, IECC, IMC, IEBC, IFGC, ISPSC) and 2017 NEC, effective October 25, 2019
- Permit validity
- Progress inspections must occur at least every 180 days to keep the permit active. Extension requests are available from Community Development.
