When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Phoenix
A building permit is required for all construction within the City of Phoenix.

- Permit validity
- Permits expire if work does not start within six months of issuance or ceases for more than six months.
Application process
Application → plan check → issuance → inspection → final

- 03 Address plan review comments and resubmit revised plans if required.
- 04 Pay permit and inspection fees.
- 05 Obtain permit issuance.
