When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Aberdeen
A building permit is required for all construction within the City of Aberdeen.
- Exempt Sheds 128 square feet or smaller
- Exempt Finish work: cabinetry, painting, floor covering
- Exempt Roofing and siding classified as maintenance in floodplain areas (does not count against 50% substantial improvement rule)
- Exempt Fences (check specific requirements)
