When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Drakes Branch

- 01 Obtain the town zoning permit packet from the services page or the document link.

- 03 Submit the completed zoning permit application with a sketch/site plan and the $5 fee. A zoning permit is required for houses, businesses, storage buildings, fences, and additions to existing buildings.
- 04 New property occupants must also complete and submit the Application for Certificate of Occupancy along with the zoning permit application.
- 05 After town zoning approval, apply to Charlotte County Building Inspection for the county building permit if the work also requires building-code permitting.
