  1. Contact Town Office at (802) 453-2980 or townadmin@lincolnvermont.org to determine required permits.
  2. Download and complete the Zoning Permit Application. For new house construction, include a floor plan with all dimensions.
  3. For projects above 1,800 ft. elevation: Conditional Use Review by the DRB is required (allow 2-3 months).
  4. New homes additionally require a Vermont Wastewater Permit (ANR).
  5. Submit application with fee to the Town Office.
  6. Permitted uses: approximately 1-2 weeks processing. Conditional Use/Subdivision: 2-3 months.
  7. Note: a building permit is not effective until 15 days after issuance; allow 25-30 days total.
  8. Post permit for the 15-day appeal period before beginning work.
  9. Upon project completion, ZA inspects and issues Certificate of Occupancy or Compliance.

Typical processing time: Permitted use 1-2 weeks; Conditional Use/Subdivision 2-3 months.
