When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Minersville
Any owner or authorized agent intending to construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, demolish, or change the occupancy of a building or structure, or to erect, install, alter, or replace any electrical, gas, mechanical, or plumbing system must first obtain the required permit.
- Exempt Structures up to 200 square feet without electricity
- Exempt Fences not over 7 feet high
- Exempt Retaining walls not over 4 feet in height not supporting surcharge
- Exempt Ordinary repairs and maintenance not involving structural, mechanical, electrical, or plumbing changes
- Exempt Painting, papering, tiling, carpeting, cabinets, countertops, and similar finish work
- Exempt Prefabricated swimming pools less than 24 inches deep
- Exempt One-story detached accessory structures with floor area not exceeding 200 square feet and no electrical

- Owner-Builder and Inspection Notice Form (if owner-builder)
- Utah DOPL contractor license information (if licensed contractor)

Application process

- 01 Confirm project is within Minersville Town limits.
- 02 Contact Minersville Town Hall at 435-386-2242 regarding local zoning, land use, and any municipal requirements.

- 09 Post approved permit at the job site.
- 10 Schedule required inspections through Beaver County Building Department at 435-438-6484 with at least 24 hours advance notice (if Monday inspection needed, call by prior Friday).
