When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Lake Tanglewood
Building permits are required for new construction, reroofing, boathouses and docks, swimming pools, regulated outbuildings, and other covered structural work.
Note: Reroof permits are $295 including one inspection. Cleanup deposits of $1,000 for new construction and $500 for other projects may be required. Contact the Village Office for complete fee information.

- Permits remain in force; permits are reissued if projects are not completed within one year. Permits are void if work does not begin within 30 days.
