Permit triggers and exempt work for Weimar

- Permits are issued only to a person duly licensed to do the work unless exempt under the article.
- Contractor requirements
- A permit shall only be issued to a person duly licensed to do the work, unless exempt under the article. Failure to obtain a required permit can be grounds for contractor registration revocation.
Application process
Application → plan check → issuance → inspection → final
- 01 Contact Billy Nunn or City Hall to confirm permit type and current submittal requirements.
- 02 Download the applicable form from the Weimar permits page (building, re-roof, electric, mechanical, plumbing, swimming pool, mobile food unit, or peddlers).
- 03 For building permits, submit the application and required plans. Separate commercial and residential building permit submittal requirements are available.
- 04 If the project is commercial electrical work or needs a fire inspection, coordinate with SAFEBuilt at 940-521-0470.
- 05 Pay all required permit fees before action is taken on the application.
- 06 Complete inspections through the city building official or SAFEBuilt where applicable.
- 07 Obtain any required zoning compliance or occupancy clearance before occupancy or utility activation where the code requires it.
