City of New Summerfield

The New Summerfield code and fee schedule show permit categories for building, electrical, plumbing, gas, mechanical, demolition, moving structures, manufactured homes, and recreational vehicle parks. Code provisions state that any owner, agent, or contractor who desires to construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, demolish, or change an unsafe building or structure must first obtain any required permits.

Owner-builder

Gas permits may be issued to a homeowner if the property is the homeowner's homestead.

Contractor requirements

Gas permits are issued to a master plumber with bond or qualifying state insurance, or to a homestead homeowner. Mechanical permits are issued to licensed air conditioning and heating individuals with proof of insurance.
