Permit triggers and exempt work for Irmo
The town requires a zoning permit for all new structures and structural work to existing buildings, including new construction, additions, structural alterations, garages, carports, storage sheds, decks, patios, driveways, kennels, fences, pools, tennis courts, land development, clearing and grading, solar panel installation, cell towers, new businesses in existing buildings, and home occupations.
