When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Rockland
Rockland requires permits for: new dwellings, structural changes, wall modifications, window/door changes, fire-damage repair, demolition, decks, chimneys, pools, fuel tanks, generators, solid-fuel appliances, HVAC heat pumps, roofing, solar arrays, batteries, and EV charging stations. Ordinary repairs and certain minor work do not require permits.
