Town of Rockland

Rockland requires permits for: new dwellings, structural changes, wall modifications, window/door changes, fire-damage repair, demolition, decks, chimneys, pools, fuel tanks, generators, solid-fuel appliances, HVAC heat pumps, roofing, solar arrays, batteries, and EV charging stations. Ordinary repairs and certain minor work do not require permits.

No permit will be issued without required insurance proof or a workers' compensation exemption form. Contractors must comply with New York State licensing requirements.
