Village of Little Valley

A building permit is required for work that must conform to the Uniform Code and/or Energy Code, including construction, enlargement, alteration, improvement, removal, relocation, demolition, and certain solid-fuel appliance work.

• Exempt One-story detached accessory structures associated with one- or two-family dwellings up to 144 square feet
• Exempt Temporary sets/scenery
• Exempt Window awnings on one- or two-family dwellings
• Exempt Partitions under 5 feet 9 inches
• Exempt Painting, wallpapering, tiling, carpeting, and similar finish work

Permit validity

Permits become invalid if work does not commence within 6 months and expire 12 months after issuance unless renewed.
