Typical processing: Routine permit review by the village is typically fast. Projects requiring AFECC review add a minimum of one planning meeting cycle (AFECC meets the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month). Plan for 4 to 8 weeks for full AFECC + village + CID approval on new construction.

A $300 backfill deposit is required when a new water meter is purchased; refunded in full if backfill passes the first inspection, or $200 refunded if a second inspection is needed.
