When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Hardyston Township

- 12 months from last inspection. Permits expire if work not started within 12 months of issuance, or if suspended/abandoned for 6 months after beginning.
- Contractor requirements
- All contractors must be registered with the State of NJ as home improvement contractors for Building Subcode. Plumbers and Electricians must be licensed.
