- 01 Contact the Village Clerk at (308) 548-2412 or clerk@villageofclarks.com to confirm whether a building permit is required for the proposed work and to obtain the current application form
- 02 Confirm zoning district for the property using the 2023 Clarks Zoning Ordinance or by contacting the Clerk
- 03 For floodplain-affected properties: verify flood zone status at msc.fema.gov before any site work. A Floodplain Development Permit may be required in addition to any zoning or building permit; confirm the responsible administrator with the Village Clerk
- 04 Submit application and required documents per Village Clerk's instructions
- 05 For all electrical work: contact NSED inspector Kent Helgoth at (402) 440-5740
- 06 For commercial construction: submit plans to the Nebraska State Fire Marshal at (402) 471-2027
