When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Pearl River Valley Water Supply District (The Rez)

- 2015 International Building Code (IBC), 2015 International Residential Code (IRC), 2015 International Plumbing Code (IPC), and related 2015 I-Codes adopted as of March 2016
- Contractor requirements
- Builder/contractor must be currently licensed and registered with PRVWSD; all sub-contractors must also hold current licenses
Application process
Application → plan check → issuance → inspection → final
- 01 For residential projects: Obtain HOA/ARC approval if the property falls within an HOA.
- 02 Ensure builder/contractor holds current PRVWSD license and registration.
- 03 Prepare three plan sets (plus PDF copies), including architectural elevations, foundation plans, and utility layouts.
- 04 Submit application through the online permit portal or in person at 6018 Lakeshore Park.
- 05 Application is reviewed by PRVWSD staff.
- 06 Permit is issued upon approval.
- 07 Schedule inspections through the Building Department.
- 08 For commercial projects: Obtain board/committee approval before applying. Prepare three plan sets, plot plans, drainage details, erosion control measures, and engineering-stamped foundation plans. Submit application as above.
