When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Ingalls
Permits required for structures over 181 square feet, decks or concrete patios over 181 square feet or taller than 30 inches, fences, room additions, roof-area changes, patio enclosures, pools or spas with electric, full roof replacement, and any work involving electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, or structural alterations.

Application process
Application → plan check → issuance → inspection → final
- 01 Select the needed permit form from the Planning and Development page.
- 02 Complete the permit packet and gather all checklist items and supporting plans.
- 03 Submit digitally through the Citizen Portal or in person.
- 04 Display the issued permit in a prominent location before work begins.
- 05 Schedule inspections in a timely manner during construction.
- 06 Obtain a certificate of occupancy after the final inspection for new residential or business construction.
