When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Chesterfield
Permits required for new houses, apartments, business and public buildings, industrial buildings, mobile homes, additions and alterations, accessory buildings over 80 square feet, demolition, movement of buildings, pools, signs, and decks and porches.

- 03 Pay permit, improvement location permit, and certificate of occupancy fees as applicable.
- 04 Complete construction and required inspections.
- 05 Obtain certificate of occupancy when required.
