When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Eaton

Application process
Application → plan check → issuance → inspection → final
- 01 Review the Permits and Development Hub for the correct permit type.
- 02 Download the building permit or right-of-way permit form.
- 03 Prepare supporting documentation including site plans, specifications, traffic control plans when applicable, and proof of insurance and bonding if required.
- 04 Submit the completed application to the Town Office in person or by mail with applicable fees.
- 05 Wait for written approval from the town before starting work. The building permit form shows issuance or denial by the Building Inspector and/or Town Council.
- 06 Complete any required utility or plot plan signoffs shown on the form.
