- No Trenton-specific code-adoption ordinance page was located during review. The city's building application states the contractor is responsible for compliance with state codes and ordinances. Georgia DCA administers the statewide minimum standard construction codes and local jurisdictions may add local amendments.
- Permit validity
- The permit becomes null and void if work is not commenced within 6 months or if the work is suspended or abandoned for 1 year. Renewal is one-half of the original permit fee.
- Contractor requirements
- Trenton's online applications require a linked contractor and state contractors with expired licenses are not eligible to submit. Building and trade application forms require contractor license numbers. Residential contractors performing work over $2,500 must be licensed by the Georgia State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors.
