Permit triggers and exempt work for Moultrie

Application process

- 01 Determine whether the project is residential, commercial, land disturbance, manufactured home, pool, demolition, or another listed permit type and download the correct application packet from the city Building and Permitting pages.
- 02 Prepare the application and plans. Residential packets require a signed application, site address, contact numbers, site plan and plans where applicable, and homeowner affidavit if the owner is acting as contractor. Commercial packets require digital construction documents, and many categories require architect or engineer seals.
- 03 Submit the completed application and plans to plansupload@moultriega.com or mail the construction documents to the department.
- 04 Pay the assessed permit fees. The fee schedule says permit fees include plan review and inspections, and additional construction review document fees may apply for certain structures under O.C.G.A. 25-2-13(b).
- 05 After issuance, request required inspections with at least 24 hours notice and obtain final CO or CC before occupancy.
