Lula's building permit materials say permits are required for all construction in excess of $500.00 or involving electrical, plumbing additions, or structural additions or improvements.

Building code

   Complete the application and gather the required documentation, including contractor license information, tax parcel details, project description, and any required trade or subcontractor affidavits.

   Submit the application to City Hall. The zoning application form states forms may be mailed to P.O. Box 99 or delivered to 6055 Main Street and that the city is not accepting forms via email.

   Staff reviews the package through the Department of Planning and Development and applies the city's fee schedule.

   Pay the billed permit amount and administrative fee. Lula provides online payment through nCourt.

   Complete required inspections and obtain certificate of occupancy if applicable.
