Online Permit Portal

Application Process

1. Open the Building Permit section on the portal and choose Apply.
2. If a contractor is applying, use the contractor path in the portal. If no contractor is assigned, submit the owner-builder form.
3. Fill in the required information and attach all required files.
4. Attach the construction waste management form. Portal instructions say submission must include the required construction waste management documentation for completion or final.
5. Pay permit fees and complete city review.
6. Address corrections or additional document requests before final approval.

General Requirements

Permit validity

Work That Does NOT Require a Permit

• One-story detached accessory buildings such as tool sheds, storage sheds, playhouses, and similar uses under 120 square feet, not over 8 feet high, and meeting required setbacks
• Fences 7 feet high or less
